Margreet Beets is Lecturer at the Faculty of Industrial Design Engineering.
Academic Background
After my graduation in 1993 at TU Delft, I started Atelier Beets and worked as a designer in the field of products for children. My focus changed towards analysing business and Innovation Strategy. I like to facilitate sessions with companies in order to let them create a strategy themselves. I took several courses at COCD, Belgium (Master creative facilitation) to specialise myself in creative technics, and trend watching at The Trend Academy, Amsterdam, which I use in those sessions. As owner of Between the Difference I create together with the client a mission, vision and a strategic direction to develop new business or services using business model. I worked for companies in the building sector like Dejo, TNO-bouw and CRH, Brookhuys.
Besides I am autodidact in Arts and exposed with paintings at the Art Expo -Rotterdam and -Antwerpen.
In 1999 I was asked to coach students at TU Delft and this turned out in coaching part-time in a lot of different design courses in the Bachelor and Master, with different topics and companies. I dived deeper into the experience of interaction and the aesthetic aspects. With my background in Strategic Design, Interaction Design and Arts, I enjoy coaching students in the multidisciplinary process of design.
