Lianne Simonse is assistant professor Innovation Strategy.  Her  research interest concern the interplay of strategy and design with a particular focus on: (1) Designing foresights and future making practices and how communities and organizations creatively respond to complex challenges of society; (2) Design for AI in Health and how to model socio-technical processes and organisations.

Academic Background

Lianne holds a MSc. and PhD. in innovation strategy and organization. Dr. Simonse has presented papers (including award winning papers) at conferences of the Strategic Management Society (SMS), European Group of Organisation Studies (EGOS), Product Development and Management Association (PDMA), Academy of Management (AoM), the Design Management Institute (DMI) andServDes. . Her work is published in journals such as Journal of Product Innovation Management, Journal of Medical Internet Research, BMJ Open, Design for Health, International Journal of Integrated Care, Design Issues, and International Journal of Technology Intelligence and Planning. Based on this comprehensive work and her industry experiences, she wrote the guidebook on Design roadmapping.

Lianne Simonse teaches Design Roadmapping at the master program on Strategic Product Design. Before joining the TU Delft full-time, she has combined her academic positions with professional experience in industry.
