Model Hall & Labs
The Faculty of Architecture and the Built Environment offers several facilities for students, researchers and employees. More general information about the general facilities and research facilities offered by the faculty can be found on the TU Delft website.

The model hall is the central model making space in the heart of the faculty. Everything in the model hall is there to support model making and form studies. Every student can visit this facility to work on her or his projects. In general, all tables on the ground floor are available to everyone to use daily. On the ground floor you can find the central black desk, photo booths, our BK Green recycling cabinet, the wood workshop, paint room, CNC-milling machines and more. At the black desk you can borrow handtools, order materials and ask for advice.More information about the model hall can be found here.

The CAMlab houses a collection of machines for digital fabrication, which are used for the production of scale models and parts for technical prototypes. We have lasercutters, 3D printers and two CNC-milling machines. All the machines are operated by the staff and assignments are done in collaboration with the student.More information about the CAM-lab can be found here.

The VR-lab offers cutting-edge equipment for students, researchers and professionals to collaborate and explore the endless possibilities of VR technology. Projects conducted and supported by the VR Lab range from testing facades and visualizing buildings in a virtual 1:1 environment to the use of biometrics: modern VR technology enables us to measure human experience in urban and architectural environments by mapping biometric information such as heart rate or eye movement. The lab provides support in setting up devices and getting started with relevant software, but can also help you to streamline your workflows or support your research project.
More information about the VR-lab can be found here.

The faculty has its own photo studio with professional equipment to support students who want to take photos or record videos. The photo studio also has a mobile set which can be used within the faculty.More information about the photostudio can be found here.
