5 things you should know about the masterprogramme MOT
MoT program gives perspective about management and allows students to manage technology innovation in small companies, start-ups, or even large research and development departments. Students will learn several aspects of innovation and technology and strategies to develop them. This is done by means of a wide range of courses throughout this 2 years MSc programme. During the MSc program in Management of Technology, students evolve towards managers, consultants, and entrepreneurs in technology-based, competitive environments. Students are trained to be analysts and decision-makers in multi-disciplinary technology also equipped to work in a variety of technology sectors and play active roles in improving the quality of technology management.
The programme addresses challenging questions most companies face such as:
- What technologies do we need and when?
- Do we procure the technology we need with our research capabilities, collaborate with outside parties, or acquire or license it from others?

Fernando KleimanFernando Kleiman is a Lecturer in the ICT section / ESS Department to support educational activities of MOT 1531, developing a gaming interventions, and supporting practical work. He defended his PhD at TU Delft in September 2021, using design sciences to develop a quasi-experiment to test a game to change civil servants' attitudes towards open data.
Nikos Pachos-FokialisNikos Pahos is an Assistant Professor in the fields of Innovation and People Management at the Faculty of Technology, Policy and Management, TU Delft.
Jenny LieuDr. J. (Jenny) Lieu is an Assistant Professor in the TPM and the Multi Actor System (MAS) within the Organisation and Governance Group. Her research interests include energy, climate policy, policy learning and transfer, innovation, gender and inclusive low-carbon transitions, and the possibility for negative emissions through land-use practices and technology.
Zenlin Roosenboom-KweeDr.ir. Z. (Zenlin) Roosenboom-Kwee is Assistant Professor of Strategy and Innovation at Delft University of Technology. She held her Ph.D. from the Rotterdam School of Management, Erasmus University and was an alumnus of Systems Engineering, Policy Analysis and Management (Cum Laude) from Delft University of Technology.
Victor ScholtenDr.ing. V.E. (Victor) Scholten is an Assistant Professor in Technology-Based Entrepreneurship at Delft University of Technology. He is currently researching academic spin-out companies, technology transfer to SMEs, strategic business venturing, entrepreneurial teams, and entrepreneurial networking strategies.
Mark de ReuverDr.ir. G.A. (Mark) de Reuver is an Associate Professor, focuses his research on Digital Platforms in Engineering Systems, specifically interested in architectural design choices, openness, and business models.
Dr Servaas StormDr Servaas Storm is a Dutch economist and author who works on macroeconomics, technological progress, income distribution & economic growth, finance, development and structural change, and climate change. He holds a PhD (Economics) from Erasmus University Rotterdam.
TU Delft campus offers some facilities to explore your academic and non-academic activities. The facilities are used for generating education purposes and other extracurricular activities such as sports, games, art, etc.
Job opportunities after graduation MSc MOT
Graduates of the MOT programme have technological, entrepreneurial, and managerial skills. They have gained the knowledge and capabilities to manage or consult on activities in which technological issues are of pivotal importance. With the entrepreneurial skills they have acquired the skills to initiate new businesses.
