Application & Selection Procedure 2019-2020

Faculty of Architecture and the Built Environment

The Holland Scholarship is a scholarship made available by the Dutch Ministry of Education Culture and Science together with Dutch research universities and universities of applied sciences. It is meant for students who want to study, do research or an internship outside the European Economic Area (EEA). The EEA consists of the EU countries and Iceland, Liechtenstein and Norway. The Faculty of Architecture and the Built Environment will award 6 scholarships to exchange students.

Number of scholarships available for the Faculty of Architecture and the Built Environment: 6

Amount: once € 1250,00 (amount 2018-2019, this can change for 2019-2020)

Selection requirements

The Faculty of Architecture and the Built Environment can select 6 students for this scholarship! To be eligible you should meet the general conditions and the following requirements:

  • Selected for an exchange semester to one of our partner universities
  • Excellence in combination with CGPA (your CGPA should be at least 7,5
  • Broad interests and development 
  • The connection between the envisaged programme abroad and the programme at the Faculty of Architecture and the Built Environment

Selection procedure // deadline 24th of June 2019 4 p.m.

Application is only accepted by email. The following documents must be submitted to the International Office of the Faculty of Architecture and the Built Environment (email: internationaloffice-bk@tudelft.nl).

  1. Complete filled Holland Scholarship <link file:84758 _blank>application form
    Ad 7. We will provide you with the declaration (nr. 2). Please provide us with the other two documents.
  2. Transcript of Records, with a signature of the Service desk
  3. CV (max 2 pages)
  4. Motivation letter (max 500 words, Arial, font 12)
  5. Portfolio (A4, total amount of pages max 8 (including cover and content, 3 projects, max 2 pages per project)
  6. Information about financial planning (max 1 A4)

What happens next?

Next, the Faculty International Office will send your nomination file (consisting of the Holland Scholarship application form and enclosures) to the Contact Center ESA. After this the Contact Center will send you a grant letter listing the conditions for the scholarship and the guidelines for the travel report. Please read the grant letter very carefully, especially the deadline for submitting your travel report. The grant letter must be signed and returned to Contact Center to indicate your acceptance of the terms and conditions.
