Ir. Ritzen, L.
Linda Ritzen is a PhD candidate at the Faculty of Industrial Design Engineering.
Academic Background
Linda Ritzen obtained her BSc and MSc in Aerospace Engineering at TU Delft. During her masters studies, she specialised in materials science for aerospace engineering.
She conducted an internship at Airbus Central Research and Technologies (or Airbus Innovation) in Munich, about aerodynamically efficient surfaces with a focus on passive anti-icing surfaces.
During her master thesis, she worked on the additive manufacturing of a self-healing thermoplastic polyurethane elastomer under development at TU Delft. The project covered the entire manufacturing process, from polymer synthesis and characterisation, through filament making and 3D printing to characterisation of the 3D printed parts.
Currently, she is working as a PhD student on bio-based plastics for sustainable industrial design.
