Ir. Schuffelers, R.J.G.
Renee Schuffelers is a lecturer at the Faculty of Industrial Design Engineering. She’s passionate about educational design and the facilitation of a creative learning culture, fostering teamwork and personal creative leadership. In her work as designer she’s skilled in co-creating meaningful experiences, products, places, services and processes where all stakeholders interests are integrated in a surprising, empathic and practical way. She’s experienced in using various design methods and combines and applies them accordingly: systemic design, social design, circular design, design driven innovation, experience design, design for emotion, health and well-being, contextmapping and (service) design thinking.
Academic Background
After her education at industrial design engineering at Delft University of Technology and Aalto University in Helsinki Finland, Renée Schuffelers worked as a designer with-in several design agency’s like Fabrique, SMOOL by Robert Bronwasser, Uberdutch and Muzus and started her own design practice RESHUFFLE. Since 2005 she combines her design work with her position as a Teacher of Practice at IDE. She specializes in personal student coaching, teamwork coaching and co-develops and co-coordinates design courses like the freshmen design course PO1-Intro IO. Recently she was trained at Kaospilot business and designschool in Aarhus, Denmark. She’s now involved in the development of teamwork skills for the IDE Bachelor revision.
