Challenge

The challenge was to see how patient profiling within a patient population undergoing a Total Joint Arthroplasty (both knee and hip surgery) could be used to design tailored information tools that benefit the care pathways these patients experience. Additionally, these learnings should produce insights, tools and learnings for designers.

Result

Defined design guidelines for the creative industry by incorporating insights in a suitable and accessible format for a broader audience. On the created website, an overview of three profiles of medical consumers is presented. Each profile has distinctive preferences, needs, and competences. Profile-specific guidelines for the design of tailored information tools and delivery of tailored healthcare are also provided.
