Siegrid Siderius is Lighting Designer and Associate Director with Arup Amsterdam. She has 20 years’ experience in lighting design of which the past 10 years with Arup.
For Siegrid light is space. Her aim is to create a balance between light and dark, between daylight and artificial light and the dynamic interaction between the two. In her designs architecture plays a central role. The technical realisation of the lighting design drives her: making the invisible visible.
In the projects where she is designer or project director her aim is to maximise the technical and economic value for the client and the project with the support of the (international) expertise that Arup has to offer.
Siegrid has experience working in international multi-disciplinary teams on a wide range of projects. These include commercial and residential developments as well as healthcare, museums, transport and urban lighting (masterplan).
