How has your experience been as a Teaching Assistant of TPM?
Being a Teaching assistant in TPM was a really inspiring experience. As a second year MOT student I had the opportunity to work in cooperation with the TPM professors, enhance my learning experience and also contribute to the teaching process of the MOT MSc. Overall it was a wonderful opportunity for me.
According to you, why should engineers choose to pursue MOT?
For engineerings, management studies are really a valuable tool that can help them understand things from an other perspective. Especially the MOT program is a great way for engineers to get started with management studies and fill the knowledge gap between an engineer and a manager. In addition, the program is offered by a technical university which gives the engineers the opportunity to engage in Interdisciplinary learning and acquire a great variety of skills, knowledge and experience.
What do you think makes MOT different from other programmes in management?
Built into the environment of TU Delft, the MOT program has a strong engineering direction. It focuses on the importance of innovation, engineering and technology from day one. This is great, as the engineers enrolled in the program have the opportunity to see technology from a different perspective. Furthermore, the program is constructed exclusively for engineers and focuses directly into the skills and knowledge engineers need to acquire in order to become successful managers.
How do you assist students in understanding complex concepts in the MOT program?
Being a second year student I am already familiar with the complex concepts of the MOT program. This gives me the opportunity to share my knowledge in a way that will benefit the students. Students can come to me for any issue related to the course and I'm always available to help them.
Furthermore, as an engineer I always try to find innovative ways that can accelerate knowledge transfer and understanding in order for the MOT students to get a solid understanding of the concepts.
What insights have you gained from working closely with professors in the MOT program?
By working in close collaboration with the professors in the MOT program I first had the opportunity to work with exceptional professionals. Their research work and their forward thinking mindset are truly inspiring. Working with the MOT professors made me get an even better understanding of the MOT concepts and was a way for me to enrich my studies.
