To study abroad can be expensive. Lucky for you TU Delft offers several study and research grants for which you can apply when going abroad. Find all the information you need below or find a study or research grant yourself via the website from Nuffic.
Every Monday between 12:45 and 13:30 in the Aula Hall, you can visit the ‘scholarship table’ for information on the financial support available to study abroad or to do an internship in another country.
Employees of TU Delft Mobility team and Delft University Funds can advise you on a variety of scholarships and funding options, about the application procedures, and answer questions about your study, internship, thesis and short stay abroad.

The scholarships appearing below are independently administered by the relevant scholarship body. This list is not meant to be a comprehensive list of externally funded scholarship options. For more information please use one of the scholarship browsers available.
DIA-Stipendium of the Duitslanddesk
This scholarship is for students and young researchers from the Netherlands who are planning to go to Germany. It consists of a financial aid of 1.900 to 2.300 euros for a maximum of one semester. It can be combined with the Erasmus-scholarship. For researchers the scholarship will be given voor a period of at least three months. The deadline to apply is 1 July.READ MORE
StuD is the employment agency for TU Delft students. It is a non-profit organisation which invests its profits into funds for TU Delft students. They specifically support students who go abroad for projects relating to sustainability, entrepreneurship or social issues. No study trips or internships abroad.READ MORE
Fundatie Vrijvrouwe van Renswoude Delft
The Funcatie van de Vrijvrouwe van Renswoude offers scholarships up to 2.500 for gifted students from Delft University of Technology, planning to do a project abroad in the framework of their Bachelor- or Master study. Interested students are requested to send a project proposal to Postbus 24074-2490 AB Den Haag or LJM.Rothkrantz@gmail.com.
A project proposal should include the following documents:
- Description of the project
- Short Curriculum Vitae
- Budget of the project
- Academic record
- Letters of recommendation from TU Delft supervisors
The VSBfonds grant offers Dutch students financial support when going abroad after finishing their bachelor or master studies. So when you decide to continue your studies or research abroad you can apply for the VSBfonds. The VSBfonds has made several grants available for TU Delft students, whom are involved with their community and want to continue their development. Application deadline is 1 March 2021.READ MORE
The Fulbright Program is a world-wide bilateral grant program for students and scholars and is active in over 160 countries. In the Netherlands, the Fulbright Center manages the program. The Fulbright Center offers approximately 10 grants each year of $25,000 for Dutch students to study at graduate level (Master or in some cases research) at an American university. The deadline for application is in January for grants for the next academic year. There are also grants for Dutch PhD students and scholars. Students 4 Sustainability
The foundation Students4Sustainability (S4S) is a student organisation with the goal of motivating students to apply innovative technologies in real life, thus facilitating the transition to a more sustainable world. With 100% of the money received from donations, S4S offers financial support to technical projects in developing countries. The funding is meant for any TU Delft student (BSc/MSc) willing to set up such a project abroad. The sponsorship only covers material costs.READ MORE
The Institut Français des Pays-Bas
The Institut Français des Pays-Bas offers several scholarships for students enrolled in Dutch higher education wishing to follow a master's degree in France in 2019-2020.READ MORE
Would you like to do a Research Internship or a Graduation Assignment into “Heart and Vascular disease” at another University in the Netherlands or abroad? Nuffic offers you an overview of more than 200 scholarships and grants for students that travel abroad for study, internship or research purposes. As a TU Delft student you can apply for these grants even though they aren't directly connected to the TU Delft.READ MORE
European Funding Guide
The European Funding Guide works with an algorithm that shows student only the scholarships, bonusses and awards that fit their profile. The 12.000 programmes cover several issues where students might need (financial) support. This could be living expences and college fees but also extra costs for a semester abroad, language courses and the costs of scientific projects.READ MORE
