2024-10-28 | Co-creation / Action Research / Co-Design / Participatory Design / Governance (ESDH, The Hague)

The project "Achter afval" (behind waste) aims to investigate the underlying causes of waste nuisance in The Hague. Many current interventions address only the symptoms, making solutions temporary and primarily effective in neighbourhoods with higher levels of social cohesion. Together with the Municipality of The Hague, we want to develop a deeper understanding of the social, cultural, economic and psychological mechanisms that cause these problems. Using co-creation and active participatory research, we gain insight into the underlying causes of littering (such as placing trash next to bins) and develop solutions that respond to these deeper causes.

2024-10-21 | Thesis Design & Digital Products - Strategic Innovation, Accenture Song

An appealing device for serving wine from bag-in-box: attractive, easy to handle, versatile and fitting in our story about sustainable wine drinking.

2024-10-21 | Designing Optimized Rheumatology Patient Journeys: Enhancing Capacity Planning and Sustainable Engagement of Rheumatologist, Delft Design Lab Health Journeys

In this project, you will visualize the current rheumatology care process, pinpointing bottlenecks and identifying the needs associated with the available capacity of rheumatologists. Your insights will serve as a foundation for designing a service model that promotes the sustainable employability of rheumatologists in healthcare. Can you contribute to this vital endeavor?

2024-10-08 | Research elective opportunity What about implementing your solutions?

In this research project, you will conduct and write a scoping review together with Fredrik Bodell, who researches the implementation of digital health solutions into clinical care. The research process will be to examine existing research on design to see how implementation is viewed. The intention is to publish the research at a design conference.

2024-10-03 | Reducing Decision-Making Uncertainties in Energy Hub Implementation via Participatory Design, TU Delft

Integrating hydrogen storage into Energy Hubs is essential for advancing sustainable energy systems, but faces complex challenges due to operational, financial, and informational uncertainties. This study will examine how these uncertainties influence decision-making and stakeholder acceptance in hydrogen-based Energy Hubs. It will also explore stakeholder strategies for mitigating these uncertainties and suggest improvements to boost collaboration and efficiency.

2024-09-04 | The Materiality of Privacy, TU Delft

In this project, you will work on a speculative design tool that adds materiality to surveillance and data capture, with reference to research in the field of speculative and social design. You will develop a digital app that warns users, through random and uncontrollable audio messages, that their data are captured and used by service providers—that is, that surveillance is taking place.

2024-09-04 | Ontwerp van een Gepersonaliseerde en Gamified eHealth Interventie voor Ondersteuning tijdens de Hartrevalidatie Wachtperiode, TU Delft
